There WERE other choices. Those who voted no to the deal had other choices in mind. Whether they would have accomplished what we'd all hope for no one knows. Just the same way no one knows what will happen because a deal was made. See John Kerry's remarks. He can't be sure this will accomplish what we all hope for, either.
You said again: "I ask you why rates were going up BEFORE ACA because your posts seemed to be saying that." Of course I said that. Rates have been going up forever. Didn't you say your insurance cost you roughly $45 and $65 between you and your employer years ago? It's been going up every year. Everyone I know now and for years before has been paying about $800 for one person and more for a family. Obamacare was supposed to do several things, including making healthcare more affordable. While its aim is to insure all, it doesn't seem to be lowering costs. There is no blame. That is just a fact. Why are your panties in a wad about blaming Obama? If this plan works, fine. If it doesn't, it can be refined. Or revised. It will take time if this is to be attempted, but will follow logically if parts of Obamacare fail. Geeze, you are so sensitive about it, you sound like you're his mother.
I do not know what the final outcome will be as regards Planned Parenthood, but I will tell you this. I have passed picketers with signs in the street and have engaged them in argument. Have you done anything to change minds?
