As a 6 year old in 1941, I sat im front of a floor model radio and heard President Roosevelt’s revelation that Pearl Harbor has been attacked and that the day would live in infamy. I had no idea of the meaning of the word infamy but assumed that it something not good.
Years later, in 1990, I was fortunate to visit the Arizona Memorial in the Pearl Harbor. The tears flowed from many of us as we read the plaque with inscribed name of those whose life had been taken in that tragic happening.
Let us never forget.
