After a weekend of so much Joy, comes a deep sadness. Class of 63 has just lost a much loved, highly respected, and dear friend. Boyd died last night. Some of you might know that he was diagnosed with leukemia three years ago on Aug 13, his 70th birthday. He fought this disease courageously. He approached every day with a purpose. His type of leukemia can be very aggressive, and he was winning. He came to our 63 Reunion in Forest in June. What a great time we all shared. He booked hotel reservations to return for Nabs Weekend. I was aware last week that he might not be able to attend. Was concerned. When Kel and I landed in Phoenix a couple hours ago, I had a message from his wife Leslie to call her. My heart goes out to Leslie, their daughter Amanda, her husband Jeff, and son Ian.
