Mississippi History: Broiler Festival 1947 to 1959

Article in Mississippi Poultry Association shows Fred L. Gaddis returned to Forest from the Navy in 1947 and started the Broiler Festival.

Maybe Beverly, David or Mike Gaddis have some historical photos about the Broiler Festival early years. Tony Wilkerson might know if Jimmy served as a King of the BF in what would have been 1955 to 1959. Anybody respond??

Ok, Forest has a long history of community achievements, I'll bet Mayor Nancy could provide a lot of info about this golden era in Forest.
