Trying to look it up, looks like at least one league has 20 teams in their top group... and the bottom 3 or 4 in any given season drop, and the top 3 or 4 in any given season from the Junior League get promoted.
So that's 15% to 20% of the league.
So my guess based on the information provided is that... they would have 70 teams in the majors, 10 conferences of 7 teams each.
And the team with the worst record from each conference (so 10 teams) would be relegated and the top 10 from the minor league would be promoted.
I see the idea, and I kinda like the idea, but the more I think about this, the more I see Colleges rejecting it... because you want division rivals and over times things would be switched up. Also you like knowing your travel costs, what if some team got stuck in a conference where all the teams are on the other side of the country?
I think there are too many variables for College Presidents to like this idea, and from a business and students preceptive that makes sense to try to keep things more consistent.
