Dang, I forgot about the Vikings pair of DT upgrades, heck, the entire division upgraded their DL talent except the Packers, that's not a great sign.
We'll have to hope that the OL and offense is able to step up, as the defense adjust to Haley's new scheme ideas.
Speaking of Haley's new scheme, I'm thinking we might see Hafley steal more ideas from the Seahawk's Legion of Boom, which the 49ers (with Hafley) copied.
At one point the Seahawks ran a 4-3 look that was really more of a 5-2, as the 4 DL was basically a DE and three DTs, with the 3 LBers basically being two off-ball LBers and 1 pass rushing OLB.
Packers already had plenty of DE/DT tweeners for it, and they had Mosby and drafted some DE/OLB tweeners, so they have all the parts.
And as Matt Bowen shows here, there were plenty of ways to send 5 guys and surprise which 5 you were sending, as long as you didn't mind dropping an edge rusher into coverage (sorry it's so tiny)
But also, the Seahawks would have their DL play two gap more often, I don't see Hafley doing that, I'm guessing he'd play one gap, but play games with which rushers are coming and when.
