I would say the biggest 'miss' I've ever had is Mike Flanagan. Different situation, but he had the horrific lower leg injury in the 1996 preseason, and missed all of 1996 AND 1997. Come the 1998 preseason, I was under the assumption (not sure why) that he was supposed to be/scheduled to be ready to go. When they tried to trade him but the trade was nullified because he failed his physical, I assumed he was just done - that he would just never make it back.

Still can't believe that he ever played at all in GB, let alone become the center on what I still consider the best single-year OL the team ever had. It's truly amazing what he accomplished - making it back to play at all, let alone have the career that he had.
