Yes, Troy Brown is who I was thinking of. They played him for the whole season both ways in 2004, and he ended up second on the team with 3 INT.

Looking at the #s, it looks like he also played DB in the 2005 playoffs - he had a number of tackles in both of those playoff games.

You're very right in your question to LaFleur about Melton. Once Watson went down, and the Wicks/Reed combo both had a bad case of butterfingers, I also wonder what it was they were (or weren't) seeing in Melton that stopped him from seeing the field more, after his very solid (for a rookie UDFA) performance in 2023 in relief of Watson.

Always like to see a guy willing to try pretty much anything to make a team, though. Really expect nothing, but I'm pulling for him!
