And Packers signed WR Isaiah Neyor,
Which there is good and bad with Neyor, on the good, their is physical traits, in that he's 6'4¼" 218 lbs, and ran a 4.40 in the 40. The bad? Dane Brugler said Neyor is “allergic to consistency”, and despite all his physical traits, he couldn't get on the field in two years at Texas (he tore a ACL in one of the years), so most of his game action is from his first year at Wyoming and his last year at Nebraska. Though Dane Brugler still said he was worth a 6th round pick.
As an undrafted FA, the 49ers thought enough of Neyor to give him a $25,000 signing bonus and guaranteed $234,000 of this year’s base salary. Of course, after getting him into the building and paying him that guaranteed money they also thought enough about him that they released him.
I watched a fan's YouTube video on it, sounds like Neyor is big and fast, but not a great route runner, and while he made an absolutely amazing catch early on, he then went on to drop everything else. He also mentioned lack of blocking, but I'm not sure if he stayed long enough to get pads on. Of course if he was a great blocker, with his physical skills he probably would of got drafted on a flier late pick.
