Re: Hopefully our young team
Okay, after a few days, and Liston this mornings Loced on Packers podcast I am coming to a lil more rational position. First let’s talk about letting Tom come back when he said moving laterally wasn’t an issue, but pushing off seemed to be. This was a bad decision by the player and the whole staff and will set them back for some time now. Next, Morgan was put in at probably his worst spot and then was moved again, with Belton being put in at Ry, followed By him then being moved and the guy from Philly being put in. So, they played four different alignments in the course of the game against the #1 rated D. ML finally came out and said they have put too much on Morgan’s plate. They need to just set the backups and not jockey around as much. Now they need to get those reps under their belts so the communication is second nature when it comes to handing guys off and not have them having to think which way they need to move. Sutton said going from LT to RT or vice versa is like trying to wipe your ass with your other hand. Peter Butkowski likened it to a right handed hitter trying to hit left handed the first time, ya look stupid without practice! I think that nails what happened against the Browns.
