I'm sure we'd all agree that however they call it, call it the same way for both teams and be consistent about it. But beyond that. Keeping in mind, conventional wisdom is that you could call OL holding on pretty much every play if you went strict 'letter of the law'; PI calls would be nearly as ubiquitous. So would you prefer a game to be called really tight (maybe not 'holding on every play' tight, but lots of calls on both tames)? Or would you prefer more of a 'let them play' type of situation, where only the most absolutely egregious of things get called?
Personally, I think I'd rather they let the players play. One thing that has made the NFL not particularly enjoyable in recent years is how many flags they throw. It used to be, when GB made a great play, it was 'yeah - great play!'. Now, my first reaction is always to look for a flag - kind of puts a damper on it. As long as it's the same for both teams (i.e., our OL gets away with as much holding as the opponents do on Parsons), I think I'm ok with less flags.
