It's probably been at least six years now, maybe seven, that I've been tremendously upset with officials in most all sports (not hockey) but football has been the absolute worst. I didn't see the play you all are referring to, but I can just imagine. I often don't watch games only because of the officiating.

So, what can be done about that? It's the human element and the impulse to make a call in a split second. I complain about it, but it's certainly not a job that I'd apply for. It's not for me, making a snap decision and then standing by it even if it's wrong.
