Hell, we even had an OC get fired and then get promoted to head coach with the Ravens OC getting fired and then becoming Browns HC. And making it more ironically, the rumor of why John Harbaugh got fired, is because the Owner and/or QB wanted the OC gone (Owner definitely did, QB is uncertain on) and supposedly John Harbaugh backed up his OC and said no, he's good, only for them both to get fired and the OC to get a promotion. Though Harbaugh has been there a while too, and every so often it just time for a change after decades.
