
Other naming rights options in much larger regions are much more valuable in a marketing sense to the companies with the huge cash flow and desire for any association. Many companies would not see an advantage of associating with a "small town" market like GB.
There would be a hesitation for spending lots of money on these naming rights things from shareholders. The bottom line would need an obvious close correlation.
Just look at Miller Park naming in Milwaukee. The physical proximity did not even help there for a renewal. There also used to be a golf tournament in Milwaukee. Remember? Limited possibilities,
If the US economy shifts sideways as the middle class gets squeezed even more with high prices everywhere, then "frivolous" spending like this will be under greater scrutiny. Don't expect too much from this.
