(Heinrich): What about Vanessa?
(Hans): She’s agreed to an actual grand prix proper, but testing, no. Besides; she's got promotional work this week, so she’s out shopping and taking in the sights.
Heinrich takes a sip of his water as he listens to his older brother.
(Hans): So, you ready for your next match?
(Heinrich): Raring to go Hans. I’ve got this one in the bag.
(Hans): *Laughing* And what makes you so confident?
(Heinrich): Well if you can beat Lucas as emphatically as you did when you faced him for your All-Star belt, then I’m pretty sure that I can summon up a similar outcome.
(Hans): And why should I believe that you can?
(Heinrich): Your words the other week. ‘I swear I learn something new every time I get the chance to spar with my brother’.
He takes another sip of his water as Hans rolls his eyes, his demeanour conceding.
(Heinrich): I’ve not sat around doing nothing since the last Havoc Hans. I know I can beat him.
(Hans): He’ll be smarting after his demotion to the Spotlight division.
(Heinrich): And? He made claims that he was out for revenge and what not since his parents died not long ago, and look where it got him. I have a win over Medos, regardless of interference, something that Lucas has yet to do in, is it four? Five attempts? I’m by far the fresher of the two going into this event and I want the number one contendership more than he does. He’s rubbished it previously, so he’s certainly not going to have a sudden change of heart anytime soon.
He passes the water bottle to Hans, who gratefully takes a swig for it, eyes following the Williams of Nico Hulkenberg.
(Heinrich): What about yourself?
(Hans): Buff Bridges and Ronnie McNeil, at this point in time, I couldn’t have asked for anyone else. It’s perfect, and quite frankly, I’m surprised. I was expecting a curveball.
(Heinrich): Logan got the curveball instead…
(Hans): They’ll regret that decision.
The pair share a smile.
(Hans): As it is though, I get another shot at getting a pinfall over Bridges, and showing that when push comes to shove, Ronnie blows cold. *Shrugs* Or fails to show.
(Heinrich): Well you've had the perfect opportunity to prepare for this one. First hand experience against Buff, and you've also been in-ring when they faced one another a few weeks ago.
(Hans): I've got reruns of his last match to watch as well on the flight to Australia. Though it's what occurred just before the match begun that interests me. How did he get the jump on Lunatik?
(Heinrich): Thinking he'll try and do something similar?
A low sigh escapes Hans' lips, as his tongue pokes into his left cheek. His head shakes from side to side as he thinks over his response for a few seconds before turning around in his seat to face his brother.
(Hans): I can't really rule it out can I?
(Heinrich): No, I guess you can't. Still, Lunatik was probably lax, so keep your eyes open.
Hans takes a final swig before passing back the water bottle.
(Heinrich): Think they'll team up?
(Hans): Perhaps, but I'd say it's unlikely. We all want it badly enough for our own reasons, so that'll preclude any such things I'd imagine. That McNeil interfered in Buff's first real chance at a title in years will definitely be a sore point…
The two fall silent, content just to watch the action as the various cars prowl around the circuit. With the warm Spanish sun beating down on them, Heinrich stretches out, sliding his pair of Oakley sunglasses down over his eyes, and tilts his head back to catch the rays.
After a few minutes, Heinrich pipes up, head still fixed up at the sky.
(Heinrich): So has Vanessa moved in with you?
Hans' head jerks upwards and round to his brother, jolted from his reverie by the sudden question.
(Hans): Wha… Come again?
(Heinrich): I said, has Vanessa moved in with you?
A look of comprehension dawns over Hans' face. A quiet s###### meanwhile is audible from his brother; amused as he is by Hans' reaction.
(Hans): Ah, right. Well, yeah, she has. What of it?
(Heinrich): I'm just curious as to how long it'll be before I lose you to the clutches of matrimony…
Hans snorts with amusement, thumping his brother on the arm as his head turns round once more to face the track.
(Hans): Your concern is touching.
(Heinrich): Thank you, I do have to try for the both of us afterall.
Once more they fall silent, the on-track action and lack of distractions around them to their liking.
(Hans): You know Talon finally got back to me?
(Heinrich): No. What was he after?
Hans turns once more in his seat to face his brother, tilting his head forwards as he does so.
(Hans): Well…
The scene fades to black.
