"And when ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows." (Mark 13:7-8)
(Senester): It was only a matter of time before the infamous Ronnie McNeil knocked once more at the gates of my kingdom. Once more you want to take the battlefield with your master, but not beside me…you wish to stand against me. Four years ago Ronnie it was quite the different tale was it not? Four years ago you were but a fledgling to darkness…do you remember as I do?
Senester looks to the wall, a large screen begins to play footage from years ago 2006.
The scene opens just outside Senester’s secondary office. McNeil seems to be hurrying down the hall and comes through the double doors with determination.
(McNeil): My lord, I come to you in need of something...
(Senester): Is there something wrong?
(McNeil): Yes. I've been here about a month, and, outside of humiliating Deas and getting a wanted piece of Dredge last week, I feel like I haven't had much of an impact...haven't had a chance to stand up and be seen.
(Senester): To stand up and be seen huh?
Senester stands from his chair and begins to pace the floor in front of the crackling fire place.
(Senester): What is it you see when you look in the mirror Ronnie?
(McNeil): I see a great man, but I used to see a legend. Something's been missing.
(Senester): Perhaps, but that's not what I see. Maybe you should clean that mirror and look again. There is a reason I chose you Ronnie, a reason you are here inside these towers. It is that which defines you, behind you're foggy mirror? Do you know what it is, what it is I see? I see an un-kept engine, fine antique in need of restoration. You need to be reminded of what fuels you Ronnie. The fuel that has made you what you are, the fuel that took you to once to gold and glory that sets you apart from commoners on the street, humbled by their own tears. It's pain, and it's hatred. Suffering has changed your very existence and you've let it slip away instead of harnessing its power. You're family, you loved ones, all gone. Why? Why should you have been made to suffer? Misery doesn't love company Ronnie; it loves chaos. The fuking smiles of these idiot fans cheering for half-assed competitors in flashy costumes, is sickening. They forget what greatness is. They forget the Ronnie McNeil who has graced rings from Japan to America, and every space in-between while snot nosed shits can get an audition and win contracts based on character. What I see Ronnie, is that fine engine. Roaring. Screaming so loud they all stand up and take notice again. It's not about you standing up to be seen. It's about the actions you must take to make others stand up to see you.
(McNeil): And that is why I'm here, my lord. If you can make Dredge of all people into what he is, I can imagine what someone with my true talent and desire can become. I've always had this dark energy within me from everything I've been through, but I can't control it. I can't harness it....it comes on its own, and leaves just as quickly. I get that taste of if, but am always left wanting more. Toyko was only a small sample of what that dark energy can do...and I want it.………..I need it. I'm tired of being the future...the time has come...my time is now.
(Senester): The soul is a precious thing Ronnie. You can reach into a man’s chest and rip his heart from every artery and still it will beat but a soul.................a soul is where darkness dwells. A soul is where common nightmares are nothing more than passing thoughts. In that blackness, nothing exists but the ultimate desire to covet everything. Evil will shadow in your eyes and the place inside of you where you have known all emotions to come from will grow empty and cold, and there will no longer be an answer to the questions of why you are, except for the fact "that" you are. Are you ready Ronnie, are you ready to care of nothing but the dark cause and its calling?
(McNeil): I'm ready. I'm ready to embrace my dark destiny!
(Senester): When was the last time you punished someone Ronnie? Made them suffer horribly for wronging you? Made them wish they would die as you extracted the light from their being and kept them alive?
(McNeil): It's been a long time since I've made anyone feel that pain…….Too long!
(Senester): Let's play a game Ronnie, it's one of my favorites. It's called "Where Are They Now?" Just a tool I like to use to open the doorway so to speak. Would you like to play?
(McNeil): Sure...let's play.
(Senester): You're parents, where are they now?
(McNeil): Dead, killed when I was a boy.
(Senester): And their killers, where are they now?
(McNeil): That I don't know. They were never caught.
(Senester): What a shame! Must have been heartbreaking for you, a young boy whose world was suddenly turned inside out by strangers looking for success.
Senester spins around a laptop on his desk to face McNeil.
(Senester): Recognize this face don’t you? Mayor Bernard Kincaid, Birmingham, Alabama. Care to guess what he had to do to pledge his college fraternity?
(McNeil): No fukng way! You can't be telling me this....no way! Benard Kincaid...a man who I put support and money behind to help him get elected, is responsible for the death of my parents?
(Senester): A man you supported, respected even as a public and political figure. Care to see his military records? They called it an "Honorable Discharge" but it was nothing of the sort, he can thank his father for that. The fact of the matter is; you have a man who was a young fool, made bad choices that changed his life that he now devotes to the better of humanity. But, do laurels of the present wipe away sins of the past Ronnie?
(McNeil): They can't....they shouldn't.... there isn't anything that can atone for death.!
(Senester): Even for the death of one’s enemy?
(McNeil): Maybe that's why the phrase, "an eye for an eye" was said...lol So yeah, everyone should get what they deserve, even death if necessary.
(Senester): "Surely thou will slay the wicked, depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. Do not I hate them, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies." (Psalms 139:19-22)
Can you hate with perfect hatred Ronnie. This man, once a child unto childish things….he sits in his office playing this same game from time to time as his memories come to haunt him obliging him to do good deeds to make amends. He sits there asking himself the question “Where are they now?” The children he left to ruin by his act. I bet he still has the family portrait from your father’s wallet just to keep himself on the straight and narrow. Where are they now? Are you going to answer his question?
(McNeil): I must...he turned my life into a hell that no one should ever have to live through.....the only regret I shall have is that he will never feel the pain I felt...the anger that I feel....he will never understand why this will be done to him...only that it was done.
(Senester): Then regret nothing and make him feel it. What is it you intend, to walk in smite him and leave? Is that good enough? Does that really soothe you? It's not enough Ronnie, it's not our way in these matters. You will take from him as he took from you. You will make his world crumble around him. What tears would swell in his eyes at the burning of one of his children charity homes, a cauldron of roasted bodies locked inside unable to escape. What ache would his heart feel walking the destruction not knowing who, why? Take from him everything, his money, his friends, his career until there is nothing left and he’s broken. Then what went around shall surely come around in the face of the Franchise, my Anointed One.
(McNeil): So it shall be done. His downfall shall be my new beginning. His tears the entryway to my path of darkness...my road to greatness.
(Senester): I look forward to seeing your handy work. Oh and Ronnie, before you go. Bring me his blood and his tears, for in them I shall baptize you, and you will begin to be whole at last.
(McNeil): It shall be done, my Lord!
