The scene opens up to a view of Ally Wilkinson lying on a hospital bed with Logan Neilson sitting beside her. He holds one of her hands in hers and she lies in silence. Although she has no make up on and her hair tied back she still looks beautiful as she turns on her side to face Logan.

(Logan): At least the child’s okay.

He half smiles trying to cheer her up but she just stares past him.

(Logan): I’m so sorry baby, I should never have let him hurt you……

He clenches his other fist involuntarily reacting to the anger inside.

(Logan): Are you okay?… Do ye want me tae get ye anything?

She closes her eyes for a second and when she opens makes eye contact with him for the first time and mumbles.

(Ally): Just stay with me.

Logan smiles at her and kisses her forehead.

(Logan): Of course.

The room falls silent again as Ally closes her eyes and begins to sleep, Logan tucks her in and leans back on his chair watching her, the camera zooms to the clock on the table that shows 22:48. The camera fades out for a moment and comes back into focus, the clock showing 00:27 and the camera pans out to show Logan has now fallen asleep, his head fallen forward to lie beside Allys.

A gentle knock comes from the door as a nurse steps inside the room, Logan stirs and looks up at her wiping his eyes.

(Nurse): Hi there. I thought you should know, her test results and X-rays have come back fine. The doctor will check on her in the morning and she should be free to leave then.

Logan nods whilst yawning.

(Logan): Thank you.

He looks down at Ally who sleeps peacefully.

(Logan): I’m going to go get her some fresh clothes for the morning, I’ll be back within the hour. Can ye please keep an eye on here while I’m away? Just pop in on her every now and then.

The nurse smiles and checks her watch.

(Nurse): That should be fine Mr Neilson, if she wakes I’ll let her know where you are.

(Logan): Thanks again.

He starts to stretch as the nurse leaves the room to continue her rounds. Logan slowly gets to his feet, groaning slightly as he tries to shake of the cobwebs. He lifts his grey casual rip up top from the back of the chair and put it on. He leans down kissing Ally once more before he starts to leave the room and the scene fades to black.
