Re: The Gayle King Interview
The scene opens with William Draconis watching the interview with Wisdom Parker. Till it gets to Gayle King's questions about him. (Gayle King): What about William Draconis? Wisdom looks confused at the line of questioning. (Wisdom): What about him? (Gayle King): This superstar of yours for years paraded around a Confederate Flag, a common symbol of white supremacy and slavery, yet you brought him back to your company on its return and he continues to do so. We understand that he’s bred his children in wrestling and intends for them to carry on this legacy. (Wisdom): I have no knowledge of William Draconis being a white supremacist. He’s a valued member of our roster and his personal beliefs which are kept outside of the ring, are also unknown to us. (Gayle King): But it’s not kept out of the ring, is it? There was a time when he and his coworkers would drape that flag over their opponents. He drives that car with the flag on it into your arena, onto your programming. What kind of message do you think this is sending to viewers? Dragon: Alright send him in. Make sure he signs that paperwork. A gentleman walks into the garage and he passes General Lee.
He also passes a motorcycle painted like General Lee.
He also passes a lifted truck painted as General Lee.
Dragon: Welcome News Hound good to see you, man. News Hound: So Mr. Draconis, why did you call for me for one? Why did I have to sign a waiver? He looks at his taped-up gloves and News Hound. Dragon: Let's get this interview over with quickly. News Hound: OK what do you have anything to say about what Gayle King had to say about you here is her question (Gayle King): This superstar of yours for years paraded around a Confederate Flag, a common symbol of white supremacy and slavery, yet you brought him back to your company on its return and he continues to do so. We understand that he’s bred his children in wrestling and intends for them to carry on this legacy. Dragon: I'm starting to laugh a little. I have Southern pride, nothing more. I had a family in history that never owned a slave but still fought for the Confederate army. Everyone wants to make a committed to my car but I was working in another fed right after I left HWA. I had a long storyline when I was in a relationship with a half-black half-Asian female wrestler/manager. News Hound heard what he said and began to laugh when William grabs him by his collar and picks him up into the air and stares through News Hound. William dropped him on his back. When he hits the ground all his air leaves his lungs. News Hound: Okay I understand your anger. What about what else she said (Gayle King): But it’s not kept out of the ring, is it? There was a time when he and his coworkers would drape that flag over their opponents. He drives that car with the flag on it into your arena, onto your programming. What kind of message do you think this is sending to viewers? Dragon: Yes there was a time when I would lay to rest the men I beat in a match under the Confederate flag. But that was then. Now I'm a new guy from the first time I was in the HWA of old. Just because my kids are trying to wrestle has nothing to do with hate as people believe it's just rebellion and Southern pride. William grabs News Hound as he slowly gets up. News Hound gets to his feet and looks up at William who looks like he's going to hurt him News Hound runs from the garage and William Draconis. The scene fades to black….
