William (leaning back in his massive leather chair, a frown etched on his face) (Dragon):So, he wants to delay our match, huh?
The only response is the soft creak of the wooden chair beneath him as he turns up the volume on the screen, where Maniac's confident demeanor fills the room.
Maniac (on screen): (voice booming) [b[Maniac: With that challenge thrown out, I know what everyone is thinking. William Draconis won the men’s battle royal and is next in line, well I’m asking him to hold off. And if this match goes down between Jeremy and I’ll get it put in writing that if Jeremy wins his first title defense will be against you William, and if I win then of course it’ll be you and I for the title. Please William, I need to do this and like I said, I didn't want to do it this way but there's no other way.
He flicks off the screen, the room plunging into silence. Suddenly, his friend and advisor, Angelus, bursts into the den, carrying a stack of papers that seem to protest under their own weight.
(Angelus): (panting) Did you just see that? Maniac brushing you off like that? It’s infuriating!
(Dragon): (gritting his teeth) Infuriating doesn’t begin to cover it. But he also asked as a true champion to let him deal with this problem. The family needs to deal
With that entitled stuck up snob, Tobias. He wants to run his mouth about our family, calling us inbred. Hicks insinuated that my daughter Luna and myself are sleeping together. And then run away when he sees Jesse, Kratos and Wyatt running after him.
William stands, pacing in front of the giant dragon statue that serves as a centerpiece in the room. The flames flickering from the eyes seem to mirror his growing frustration.*
(Angelus): Look, I get it. You’ve earned your shot. You’ve waited long enough. But now, you're going to let Maniac off and go after this loser, Tobias. Who couldn't even beat you months ago. Because you respect what Maniac asked you?
(Dragon):(stopping abruptly) yes, Tobias is going to learn not to underestimate The Family. Maniac, you can go off and deal with Jeremy once and for all. The Draconis Family is going to teach Tobias, that professor loser and anyone else who we are.
William narrows his eyes, contemplating the complexity of the situation. He knows the stakes have risen, and it’s not just about the championship; it’s about asserting the family's dominance in a world where loyalty can turn as quickly as a wrestling match.*
(Dragon):(sighing heavily) I understand Jeremy is a wildcard in this scenario. But I respect and understand so I'm going to allow Maniac to deal with the wildcard. But I'm going to make sure that the Draconis Family and myself are what people are talking about.
(Angelus):(nodding slowly) So, what’s your game plan? How are we going to make the family the talk of the HWA Universe?
William swings around, leaning against the side of his desk, the tension in his shoulders evident as he formulates his strategy.
(Dragon):(clenching his fists) The Family and I need to become the center of attention, the one everyone is talking about. I’ll make it impossible for anyone in the HWA to ignore The Draconis Family once and for all.
(Angelus): (raising an eyebrow) A campaign to teach all of the HWA universe, who the Draconis family really is.
(Dragon):(smirking) The first target is that snob Tobias Clark. I will once and for all teach him to respect the Draconis family. His class will be painful because he will have multiple matches.
First match will be against Wyatt, if he survives that match and then he can go find himself a partner and face the Sons of Anarchy (Jesse Draconis and Kratos Payne).
And if by any chance he wins that match, then only then will he have the chance to face me, William Draconis.
Marcus scratches his head, absorbing the idea.
(Angelus): You’re planning to turn this into a lesson about respect. That’s bold.
(Dragon): (nodding) Exactly. I'll get under his skin. If I can provoke him enough. All of HWA will see the true face of Tobias. Then my sights locked on the HWA world heavyweight champion once and for all.
Marcus leans against the wall, crossing his arms, clearly impressed yet worried about William’s newfound intensity.
The tension in the room simmers as William pulls out his phone, the glow illuminating his determined expression as he begins to type a message to Butch and Wisdom.
(Dragon): (speaking as he types) Since you seem preoccupied with what happened to Sean and Red Dragon and those girls I would like to have a gauntlet-like match to deal with people like Tobias, Professor whatever and even Erica.
Marcus watches with admiration, tension winding like a taut rope in the air.*
(Angelus): There’s a fire! Just remember, every action has consequences.
(Dragon): Then let’s make this fire burn bright and let the sparks fly. (smirking again)
As he sends the message, William straightens his posture, his eyes reflecting the vision of victory ahead. The den, once a sanctuary, now feels like a battlefield, ready for the drama that would unfold.
As the story ends, the lights dim, hinting at the battles yet to come, intertwining fate, ambition, and the warm glow of rivalry that would shape the HWA universe. The scene fades to black…
