There are probably well over a hundred wild Yuccas here in the woods by a creek bank (in sandy soil). The only native type of Yuccas in the area here are Yucca filamentosa and Yucca flaccida. I believe many or maybe all are Yucca flaccida in the woods here. They vary from a few wide leaf ones to more narrow ones, but many of the Yuccas are a little more narrow than typical Yucca flaccida. A few days ago walking through the woods I discovered a extremely narrow Yucca flaccida. It was much more narrow than all the others I've seen in the area, the Leaf width was: 0.38" to 0.5" (0.97 cm to 1.27 cm). So I thought I'd show some pictures of it: |
