I did send some offshoots from the blooming Yucca 'constricta x filamentosa' on the right of the tall one. It's not quite as tall but the blooms are much larger (flower area). Did Jost ever get those plants to you? I'll have too look to see if the tall form is sending up any offshoots. I have pollenated the Yucca 'constricta x filamentosa' x 'filamentosa x elata' with itself.......we'll see if pods form. For some reason the beetles really like this flower and I see many damaged flowers on it. I was able to hybridize Y. flaccida x baccata. This should be an interesting hybrid. I'm glad to hear the 'big mama' seedlings are germinating quickly for you. Mine germinated fast too. The Y. gloriosa x arkansana 'Moud City, MO' hybrid seeds germinated very slow (5 weeks) and at low %. I only have 2 seedlings. The Y. 'constricta x filamentosa' x 'bright edge x glauca' (pollen from you) seeds germinated very well. I can't wait to see what these will turn into! Good to hear from you Benny. Keep in touch. |
