(Hans): Hello, I'm Hans 'The Baron' von Richtoven, reigning HWA World champion.
(Heinrich): Hi, and I'm Heinrich von Richtoven. The two of us are here in the studio today to ask, and be asked, a few questions by one another. Nothing too serious or taxing, but hopefully it'll be of interest to a few of you.
With that, they grab their respective piles of cards, and thumb through them.
(Heinrich): We had a rock, paper, scissor, lizard, Spock game earlier, and since I won, I'm going first.
Hans rolls his eyes at the memory, as his brother holds up the first card.
(Heinrich): Ok, so, any thoughts on Draconis?
(Hans): I've got a few actually.
He pauses momentarily, unable to contain his amusement; a wide mouthed grin forming. His brother take the opportunity to gesture at the camera.
(Heinrich): You want to direct them straight at him?
He glances off camera for a moment, before adding.
(Heinrich): They didn't say we had to directly answer back at one another after all…
(Hans): Really?
He purses his lips, and shrugs his shoulders.
(Hans): Be a shame not to take advantage of that, so I think I will.
He composes himself, before angling himself at the camera.
(Hans): Right then Draconis. So, you're 'better' than me? At what, might I ask? Could you be specific and name some examples?
He smirks, giving a pause of a few seconds before carrying on.
(Hans): Ok, I'll start… From a purely wrestling results based perspective, I'd have to argue that since I'm currently holding the World title, having come off the back of what's regarded as the best 'All-Star' reign in the history of this company, and you're struggling to actually wash away losing the Tag belts to TnT, that I'm certainly your better in that respect.
His attention drifts back to his younger sibling.
(Hans): I can't actually think of a time that he's actually fought anyone of my calibre yet, let alone beat them…
He turns back to the camera.
(Hans): Have you faced off against AC James one on one, or Butch Parker, to name but two?
A pregnant pause occurs, as Hans waits for a few moments, letting the question sink in before continuing.
(Hans): So, on what precisely, are you basing your assumption that my World title is just one, easy, over-bar-the-result match away? Where you come from, it may be the norm to just huff and puff a load of nonsense and expect it to paper over the cracks in your argument, but you're facing the HWA World champion Draconis, and believe me when I say it, there is a gulf in class between us, and I'll be making that abundantly clear to everyone come 'Road to Ruin'. You're a doubles competitor Draconis, not a singles, there is no-one to cover your ass like there was when you fought my brother and Logan, so you're already on the back foot with that one…
He smiles sweetly, while his brother reaches out, and takes a drink from his glass of water.
(Hans): Not to mention that you're facing the Archangels first of all, alongside a young guy that you've not yet had a chance to tag with before in the HWA. Now, given that the Archangels are men clearly hungry for, and capable of attaining gold, and demonstrate exceptional in-ring awareness and ability, I'd already say that you're in for a tough ride there, so I seriously doubt that any amount of 'Southern Pride' is going to help you get over the finishing line ahead of me, because that's the only thing you've got over me that I don't have, and in this case, don't want…
He turns back to face his brother, who by this point, is reclining back into his chair; content just to let Hans speak his mind.
(Hans): I think that's everything…
Hans chuckles lightly, as his brother sits up.
(Heinrich): Ah, good. My go then, is it?
(Hans): Yeah, would seem so…
Hans picks up his own card.
(Hans): Ok, next up is…
He trails off, as he looks at the card.
(Hans): Have you had any phonecalls since Merlyn's advertisements aired?
(Heinrich): A few frustrated calls from my PR agent who's irritated about the amount of press gullible enough to believe it, but that's about it.
(Hans): You going to sue him for what he's done?
(Heinrich): And give him more attention? No thanks. He's got Hulk Hogan selling empty boxes, I mean…
He shrugs his shoulders.
(Heinrich): … that's all that needs to be said really.
To be continued...
