Robert, you are right on the date. I was president of the student body '56-'57, and there was an opportunity for suggested names. I have no memory of who entered Kats Kave, and probably I had only a list of the names to be offered to the student body for voting. An "election" was held, and, as I recall, Kats Kave won hands down. Personally, I though/think it was a great choice. In my day there was no pool table. Just a dance floor and the stage. However, that did not prevent us having some great dances and much fun. Also, there were various city, social, civic events there. My favorite memories are of dances on Friday nights after home football games.
