You are very correct, Kaye. There was no feeling like sitting in those stands at Miss. Memorial Stadium and later at Hinds Community College and hearing the announcer say, "Now, for the results of the day." When they first discontinued doing the marching in the spring, they would post the results of the concert and sight-reading scores on a bulletin board in the lobby of the auditorium. Now they don't even do that anymore. You have to have connections to find out what everyone made. At least I still know the people to ask!
