Edgar Cater is the son of Elizabeth Carter Coleman who was the daughter of Mrs. Ellie Coleman. Miss Ellie worked at Stevens Department Store for many years and did live on Hwy 80. He had an older brother, Buster who was a Vietnam veteran. Their father Ham Carter was in the military and they eventually moved to Monroe Louisiana.
