I enjoyed having a long conversation with Elizabeth Carter about her days living in Forest at Elizabeth's beautiful home in Monroe, Louisiana a few years ago. She told me what Forest was "really" like in those days. I can not repeat any of her hilarious stories for fear it might insult somebody's relatives. Elizabeth's oldest son Buster was killed in Vietnam and Buster is buried alongside his father Ham, in the Eastern Cemetery in Forest. Buster left behind a wife and two beautiful daughters who live in Monroe. Elizabeth said that her younger son Edgar is a successful business owner living in New Orleans , Louisiana with his wife Julie and a son and daughter.
