Mark, you do have some interesting connections! There are not as many horse related activities in Collierville as there used to be. Many have gone a little further out of town. Local history groups are still strong and are diligently trying to protect our Town Square. There are several historical buildings and Civil War Sites. Our favorite place to worship is Chapel on the Square. Reminds us of “home” in many ways. In fact, a railroad track runs right through the edge of town square much like the one in Forest.

I really wish you had found this site several years ago. We had quite lively conversations about our years growing up in Forest. I’m guessing now but I believe we had Bearcats posting who graduated FHS as far back as 1945. But those precious ones are no longer with us. I’m not even sure what the youngest FHS grads have joined us here but probably 1990 or so. Leigh is definitely one of the youngest. She AND her mother Shawna have been active Bearcat participants. When I think about it, we have a lot of history created right here.

One of my favorite threads that was ever started here was “did you have a part time job growing up in Forest and what was it?” That was a good one. Robert H, did you start that one?
