If it was that easy every team would have one.
Here’s 2024 WR stats.
https://www.nfl.com/stats/player-stats/category/receiving/2024/reg/all/receivingyards/desc
The Packers were 30th in total receptions 308. 16th in yards but interestingly 2nd in yards per rec. and 10th in TD’s.
Bengals were #1 in receptions with 460.
#1 receiving TD’s 19th in yards per rec.
Was Jordy Nelson a #1? For four seasons he was. But it wasn’t until his fourth season he past our current Wr’s totals.

Donald Driver was a 7th round pick.
He was a #1 and it took him fours year to take off.
And look closely at the # of targets and Receptions he had his best years.

The question is still what is a #1? 1,000 yards? 100 catches? 10 TD’s?
Not a whole lot of those laying about.
Reed, Musgrave, Kraft, Wicks, Melton and Heath are all starting their third year.
And don’t forget the RB’s Jacobs and Lloyd will have more work.
We may see multiple WR’s drafted and I know they will sign some UDFA’s . If WR is the #1 pick god help him if he isn’t in the Pro Bowl for 2025.
It’s not as dire as some think even without Watson and Doubs wearing the peanut head your going to see a further dive into play action and they have the players to run the ball against the best defenses.
After 23 a lot of fans had huge expectations and rightly so, but injuries derailed those expectations more than anything else thing else in 23 and 24.
