The plants are very different from aloifolia and probably more of a gloriosa in some respects. The leaves are curved (arcuate) with fine teeth along the edges and a hard spine at the tip. Bloom is much later than aloifolia (mid summer here) and the blooms are much larger and fewer in number on the scape. The plant doesn't clump like gloriosa though and grows on a nice erect trunk. Hardiness is similar to gloriosa per Tim (if my memory serves me well). |
