Re: Why some don't want kids.... Elle
The Island is becoming more crowded..but because of single family housing, it's held down to a crawl. We are seeing multiple dwellings go up but they are small, no apartment type buildings. When I see street parking here by residents, it bothers me..and I have a couple of neighbors who fit the bill. Residents are supposed to park in their driveways but as kids become older and the household becomes more than a two car family, the overflow goes to the curb. The streets are too narrow for more than temporary or occasional curbside parking. When cars are parked on both sides of the street, two vehicles can't pass one another. When we drive around, I don't have to look at street signs to know we are within city limits..you can just look around and know.
