Today’s light is a lot dimmer. I don’t have words. Mr Polk died this morning from complications of heart disease. Not only have we lost a beloved teacher and friend, but a mentor for so many of us who have known Joyce and Hal all these years.

Due to these uncertain times, Joyce and family plan a small, family only, graveside service. She stated that she will miss not seeing their friends at this time, but plans a memorial service later.

Also, it might be nice if we posted some thoughts right here to serve as a memorial. Joyce told me that Mr P took great comfort in hearing from us. We were so privileged to have grown up with Hal and Joyce Polk in our lives.
