You missed the whole point of my post. You don't know what to do? You take the camera into the camera dept of a store and have somebody set the menus up to what is basically the automatic default. The only things you have to concern yourself with is pushing the power button and snapping the shutter. You need to know how to put the battery and SD card in too. There's a little lever around the snap shutter circle, push it one way and it zooms and you can see what it sees in the LCD screen or view finder, push it the other and it returns. Forget doing anything else. I never look at how many pictures I have left, I unload pictures and clear the SD on the computer when I get home and I don't need to see what I just took in the camera either. If in doubt, I'll take a second shot or third shot. The automatic setting will adjust itself as best it can to what it reads as light conditions. If the flash is on, it will automatically go off if it needs more light. What can be simpler than that.
