Speaking of inheritances. My son's grandfather paid for the house in Middle Village and made us promise we would not sell it, that it would go to our son, his only grandchild. I assumed my ex would make sure that happened. My ex remarried a greedy woman only looking out for her own two sons from a previous marriage. They no sooner married when she edged my son out of the house and new family. She and her 2 sons completely took over the entire house. 17 years later my ex died and we come to find out there was no will and he had added her name to the deed. 2 years after he died (cancer) his wife also died (massive stroke) - leaving the house to her two sons. Her sons did not share the estate with my son but kept it all for themselves. So they not only got the house worth $500,000 but all the cash worth almost $750,000. My son got NOTHING! Not one penny.
My ex-FIL would roll over in his grave if he knew what happened. He dearly loved his grandson and always believed he would someday get the house. He worked very hard and made many sacrifices to pay that house off after his wife died when my ex was only a boy.
